Thomas Scot Wolinetz is a founding partner of Weltz Kakos Gerbi Wolinetz Volynsky LLP where he is a litigation and transactional attorney focusing on securities arbitration, litigation, corporate law, securities, mergers and acquisition, finance and corporate governance. Mr. Wolinetz has experience arbitrating before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, including cases involving stocks, bonds, options, mutual funds, private placements, real estate investment trusts (REITS), structured products, annuities, life insurance policies, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
Prior to forming Weltz Law, Mr. Wolinetz worked for two prominent Manhattan law firms as well as the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. This experience gives Mr. Wolinetz a unique background that is extremely beneficial to investors.
Mr. Wolinetz earned his undergraduate degree (B.A.) from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and his law degree (J.D.) cum laude from Hofstra University School of Law, where he was a Dean’s Scholar and the Business and Technology Editor of the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal.
